Who We Are

– Travis Martell, CSCS

– Mark Fitzgerald, CSCS

Travis was born in Edmonton, Alberta but his parents moved to Kelowna, British Columbia when was at a young age. Travis played his minor hockey in the Okanagan before moving away for Juniors where he spent two years in Wilcox, Sasaskawhen where he played for the Notre Dame Hounds.

After Juniors, Travis was fortunate enough to play at the NCAA level where he earned a degree in Exercise Science. In 2008 he became a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) through the National Strength Conditioning Association (NSCA). Training became not only a passion of his but a fundamental way of life.

Over the last 12+ years, he has worked with athletes one-on-one, in camps (Edge of Excellence, SD23 Hockey Canada Skills Academy, and Sicamous Hockey School), and even remotely.

Today, Travis’ goal is to combine his professional playing experience with his educational knowledge to help hockey players reach their full potential.

 

Mark has spent the last 15 years working with athletes from a variety of sports at every level. He began his career with the Toronto Maple Leaf’s organization and most recently was the head of performance for the Anaheim Ducks.

Mark is the founder of Elite Training Systems in Ontario, which has grown to 4 locations servicing athletes from all major and minor sports. Mark also serves as a consultant for a number of health and performance organizations. Currently, Mark serves as a member of the Under Armour Training Team. His role is to build out high-performance training initiatives for the brand.
